David Gerrard is a qualified alternative dispute resolution (ADR) professional with extensive experience in quantity surveying, project management and dispute resolution in the New Zealand building industry.

He holds a Massey University diploma in Dispute Resolution, a diploma in project management from the University of technology Sydney and is a qualified Quantity Surveyor having been a member of the Institute of Quantity Surveyors for more than 30 years.

David has extensive practical experience in specialist contracting firms, having played a significant role in managing two such companies, over a fifteen year period. This allows him to appreciate the complex contractual, legal, technical, financial, performance and quality issues that underpin good commercial practice and dispute avoidance and resolution. In addition eight years experience working from an owner’s perspective ensures that David can extract the best results from a building venture.
